Clunking sound
Clunking sound
I've noticed my car was making a bit of a clunking noise from what sounded like something in the rear end. I have steeda LCA Relocate Brackets and Billet LCA's, but this clunking has been around prior to that. It usually happens when upshifting or downshifting in lower gears. I find it gets worse after a long trip. If I'm in a lower gear and tap the gas pedal it's very noticeable. After listening to it today I have a feeling it is coming from my driveshaft. If I grab hold of it and twist it there is some play in it(not at the bolts). Is this normal? I want to take it in to my dealer to get it checked out I'm just worried they're are gonna be a pain about the LCA Brackets.
It was all done on an aligment rack. The rear end shouldn't have really moved too much. Even if the pinion angle was out a bit I couldn't see it causing a clunk if I tap the gas pedal. It's more like something is loose, I just don't know what.
