Well After 18 Years Its Mine Again!!!!

As you all know i sold my 66 Mustang on ebay and i was going to buy a 94 or 95 Mustang to drive daily.LOL Things change dont they.Lets rewind to about 1984 i was a bout 6 years old and my Dad brings home a cool car for us to work on as a father son project .At age 6 i was already car crazy and i would constantly scan autotraders to see what car i would buy when i turned 16.(not a joke)We worked on this car off and on until 1990 when my dad lost his bodyshop along with one of our car's and our home of 10 years which was forclosed on so needless to say it was a real bad year!My dad had to sell the car and he sold it to a guy he new.I tried buying it back from him around 1995 but he did not want to sell it.I always wanted this car back to hotrod and it was always lingering in the back of my mind because my dad and i had a lot off good memories around that car.
Well three days ago i walked into one of my buddy's body shop and there it was. I almost fell out when i saw it! This was the exact same car!!!!!
The guy my dad sold it to still owned it and it WAS UP FOR SALE!!!!
The car is in horrible shape but i dont care, i paid $1000 for it that was to much but i dont care (he wanted $1500)its a Chevy but i dont care ,i have my very first car back and its mine forever!!!!!!I cant believe it!!! Sorry guys had to share this.

Very cool. A car project should be meaningful. They require way too much of your time for you not to be emotionally connected to them. Enjoy your new project.

That gonna be a sweet ride. My Brother-in-law has that exact same car in his basement garage. If you decide you need a parts car just PM me, I think he wants $800 for it. His car is 100% complete original, does not run and need a floor pan.

Solid parts car would be a wise decision for an unusual model.

You're lucky that the Chev was still so close to home. Now that you have it in your possession, it's like ya'll never got rid of it! Some many of 'our' cars have been bought up by the Yanks!, some of them really do appreciate them though. I've got an original radiator and a steering box if I can find it for a '49 REALLY!!! kennyg
