Newbie in Town.....
Hello, everyone! I've only recently returned to the South (after 25 years exploring the world), to help my sisters care for my Mom, who is in the last stages of Alzheimer's. I followed a classic Mustang down 565 the other morning and thought it was about time I joined this group. *grin* I just mailed in my membership dues, so I guess I'm not "official" yet though.
I've always driven Mustangs. I know I'm not telling y'all anything new, but their lines are so sensual, yet unpretentious. Not like the 'Vette, or European sports cars. It's like owning a Harley to me....All American with a wonderful history and tradition and each one is completely unique.
I currently own a 2001 convertible--Irish green with tan top and tan leather. I think she's so beautiful and so much fun to drive. My first day in town, I got three compliments on her--at the grocery store, gas station, and car wash. She is in great shape, with just a few surface scratches--like a dog jumped against her and scratched with its paws. I'm sure they can be buffed out.
Anyway, I'm happy to be here and will monitor the threads. Sorry, I'm not technically inclined. Like my computer, I know nothing about the workings of my car, so I won't have much to say about the mechanics. And, I won't be able to tell you "that's a '66 whatever". I just know they're a joy to own and I'm looking forward to meeting people here...and stroking their Mustangs. *grin*

Thanks, everyone! I'm looking forward to the first meeting in January.
Oh, the Mustang on 565 was old, red with twin white stripes from front to back, and in perfect condition. It was beautiful....y'all probably know just from that brief description what it's called. I didn't get to see the driver, but we were both going west between 7:30 and 8am.
