Got a build date. How long after that?

Newbie here. I've owned serveral stangs since my first one back in 83. I found this site after I saw a CS stang about a month ago. I went ahead and ordered one and got my build date which is 9/18/06. Roughly how long is the build and shipment date?

The wait is killing me especially since I sold my 95 5.0 two weeks ago. I've been driving a contour beater lately and its not the same. The usual first mods on my stangs were gears, exhaust, and intake. Does the same formula work with the S197's? Also, has anybody lowered their car? If yes, which setup is the best. Also, any recommedations on a tuner (ie Xcal)? Sorry for all the questions. Here's a pic of my old stang. It was sold in less than a day on a local board.

Hi,

I just called the ERL tonight on my order and got the message, "As of September 19th, your car has been locked in for production the week of September 18th with an ETA to the dealer the week of October 1st."

Try giving the ERL a call and see if you have any updated info but at least it gives you an idea of the first week of October as a dealer delivery date.

What is ERL?

Hello Shatter,

My GTCS has been on order since 10/25. I'm told it will be in within the next week. What is ERL and how to I access it? Do I need to contact the dealer or is there a general # that I can call using my order #?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Order status phone #...

Ok... newbie here After digging around on this site, I found the phone # to be 800-962-3746 and the info I need are either the VIN or on my order form.

My GTCS hit the ramp on 12/7, which confirms what the dealer told me on the same day. They project the car arriving at the dealer appx 12/18... Just hope I'm not an addition to the "waiting stories" found elsewhere on forum! 8-weeks is long enough!

I just may be on the list!

Called the number. Got the "Vehicle Order Processing Center".
I happen to have my "Vehicle Order Confirmation" so I could answer:
Dealer Number (5 numbers)
Year (2007)
Chassis Type (T82)
Order Number (I had 4 numbers)

And with that I got the message: "As of 12/7/2006, this vehicle is
scheduled to be built the week of 1/1/2007"

That will be 8 weeks after I ordered it and 7 1/2 weeks after they entered
the order.

Very Cool A fantastic way to bring-in the new year. Congratulations!

From what I understand, the plants shutdown on 12/15 and restart just after the 1st. Guess that means your car will be built with refreshed employees.
