Need S197 seat measurements

Hey S197 owners. I need someone to measure the width of the rear seat in a coupe and conv. I need both the bottom width at front, midway back and rear as well as the backs full width and sectional widths. Just get close. Trying to figure out which one to get to use for material on recover of the 2000.

Bill

Finally got around to measuring

These are rough measurements, but here goes.

The rear seat at your knees is around 49"
Mid thigh is around 48"
It is about 47-47.5" at your butt.
Lower back is around 46"
Shoulders measure around 44"
Top of seat is around 43".

I did this really quick, but that should get you some idea about the widths and shape.

Opened the box last night to look at it and it was the light gray instead of the dark gray. Still going to keep it and work on this conversion however it will end up in the white car rather than the silver one.

The upholstery came with some of the front foam. From what I can tell they will go on the front frames just like the SN95. There will be a few holes to contend with but I am working on that. The S197 uses a two post headrest that is 7" distance between posts. The post sleeves are available from Ford for around $10 each. The headrest from Edge and Escape are the same width. The S197 uses a remote latch assembly as does some of the other Ford vehicles.

The rears are just the upholstery. Looks like I got a convertible set as well however since they will need some cutting and sewing this is no big deal. There looks to be plenty of fabric for the task since they are wider.
