Wheels

So I've ran into a problem with my new rims already and I don't even have them on the car yet. I need to lower my 67 4 inches to get it to look right with these rims and I am not able to drop it enough since I will run into issues with clearance. So I might have to sell them, but would anyone be interested in them?

15x7 fronts 4in backspacing
15x8 rears 4.25in backspacing

205/50R15 for the front
225/50R15 for the rear

I'll have to see how much I spent on them.

Yeah I would have about 1" of clearance from my exhaust to the ground when I lowered it. It would not look right with the 15s if I didn't have it lowered that much.

Yeah I know, I talked to Tommy about getting them done this past Friday. I'm going to get them mounted this week and put on.

You ever going to AutoX with us? Once I get my sport seat, rims mounted, disc brakes, and paint I am going to start.

OOPS! Should have lowered it first. You are not going to AutoX on your nice wheels are you?

Yes, unless I buy a different set to use for AutoX. They will have to wait until after I get everything else finished. Probably will be in April if i get another set.

My 67 actually is lowered, it was about 1-2" below stock before hand. I am going to get my tires mounted Tuesday and see what I can do about the gap. Might not get it to go completely away, but I'm not gong to have a 3" 4x4 look either.

They look ridiculous.

To me it looks like this now....

At least a 3" gap all around and 2 tires were put on backwards...

Looks like they might have put the tires on the wrong rims too. But that may just look like that since the 205s are so small.

I'll have to get them tomorrow. It was too dark to get pictures. Front has to be dropped at least 2 inches.

Here are some pics of my rims and sport seat. Now I just need a smaller steering wheel so I can get in and out better. It is way different than my stock seat. I think I am like 2in from the headliner now, and I'm all up in the steering wheel.

I think it looks good. Black out the wheelwells and you won't notice the gap. What is the seat out of? kennyg

That is a Summit Sport Seat. I've been told it looks out of place, and I can see that for someone that isn't used to it. I am going to work on getting a new steering wheel since the OEM one definitely won't work with that seat. Need to find out if I can wear my helmet in there without hitting the headliner too.

What is going on with your hood and fender alignment? Looks like the fender is too high and you have compensated with the hood. Do you need to lower the front of the door?
