its cool... im not to terribly worried about it, i think when mine sells im gonna buy a friend of mine 87 lx with a 351w. but i know that it needs new tires, a new carb im thinking holley 750 DP, transmission fluid, and an interior makeover. but for 1300 cant beat it.

nice setup for a stroker.....big displacement means big power.. (usually) or big potential, and you will have plenty of torque.

i know nothing about 351's what does their power output look like, i've heard diffrent things. 1 guy tld me im looking at about 300hp and 375-400 ft lbs at the flywheel and 270/ 350 @ the wheels, and i had another guy tell me to look for 275 hp/ 325ftlbs at the fly with 240/280 to the rear.... like i said i know nothing about 351's

it all depends on how it was built.

get what was done to it and the compression and you can get a pretty good idea.....it's better then 225 and 300 torque at the engine

ok, i have no idea whats done to it, but he tried to tell me it was from a cobra R....so i asked him why is it carb'd. i told him just cuz he has cobra R badges doesnt make it a cobra R, but im not to worried about that, a friend of mine rebuilt it about 1yr ago to be a street drag car, but then he stopped because he got involved in putting a magnum 318 into a 1986 toyota pickup.

anyhow got side tracked, how much ouput can a 351 block take?

"This Ford 351ci engine was pulling 385 hp with headers and a 785 carburetor. It featured a single plane Victor Jr." i found this on a web site, so apparently 351 responds very very well to mods.

exactly...btw, at lunch Michelle and I went out to check on her car, and you have one hell of a ride. if I had the money...I'd own it in a heart beat. it's gorgeous. and she said to tell you **** you for parking next to her....it made her really doubt not trading you...but she's in the same boat your in....good luck bro...you have more then a reasonable price on it in my opinion.

The other stang im most likely gonna be getting needs some serious interior work and a cowl hood, but my wife said she would help me out.
