Concours restoration, probably not. Would make a great track car though.

Yep, the Pantera was officially import in the US by Lincoln Mercury from 1971-1974. All were 351 Cleveland, mid engined, with ZF - 5 speed transaxle. Early cars are known as "Pre-L" and have chrome front and rear bumpers. Later (mid '72-'74) were known as Pantera L cars, and had the federally mandated larger black bumpers. The very first '71 cars are also know as "pushbutton" cars because of the pushbutton door handles. In late '74 the US spec'ed GTS cars were imported.

GTS:

Pushbutton, Pre-L :

Pantera L :

After 1974, there were others made, just not "officially" imported - they became more "blingy" with wings, flares, etc. (Yuk!).

That's sad, it looks like a real rust bucket. Missing a door, interior is probably shot too. You better have DEEP pockets if you want to get it nice and alot of time on your hands.

After a soda blast it may show a glimmer of hope for a "driver" at least. I hate to see it just sitting in that field. There is a nice red one that is in town but its not a 351c, its a big block.

Friend of mine in TX just purchased a restored one for 30K with 42K orig. miles and is having it shipped soon. Nice cars, but cost a ton $$ to upkeep if driven much.

Nice '69 MAch BTW
