I'm just curious....but I'm also just serious
The descriptive term "Ricer" has become something rather broad in scope and VERY open to interpretation. In other words, it's VERY "subjective".
To be honest, as far as I know, the term is WAY older than most people here, and originally had nothing to do with cars at all.
We used it back in the 60's and 70's to describe the Japanese motorcycles that were invading our shores at the time. Over the years, the term seemed to broaden in scope to include Japanese cars, and then basically anything that was Asian.
Nowadays, people seem to use it to simply describe **** near anything they want to dismiss as cheap or inferior in some way regardless of whether it truly is or not.

A similar relationship exists between sportbikers and HD riders.
I'm a ricer to be sure, but in a different way.
2-strokes = nasty, smelly, on-the-pipe freaky fast, politically incorrect beast.
My friends and I love being ricers in the motorcycle world....
The difference is plain to see....we wear helmets.....Ha !!!

Same here. Always been a rice-rider. Can't tell you how many bikes I've had over the 40-odd years I've been riding. Honda's, Yamaha's, Suzuki's, Kawasaki's. Dirt, street, dual-purpose, 2-stroke, 4-stroke, 50cc-1100cc. I've had them all several times over. Wouldn't own a Harley if my life depended on it. Never felt the need to buy a personality.
