Going to try powdercoating
Did a set of rear calipers. I did the caliper in yellow and the bracket in gloss block. The bracket looks like it is a wrinkle finish in the picture but it isn't. you are just seeing the texture of the bracket itself.

Did a valve cover the other day. I still need to strip the other one from all the yellow that got buggered up.
It is a gloss black that seems to have a little texture to it, all it all it looks pretty good. Coverage seems consistant all over.
The holes for the spark plugs didn't get any powder, but I didn't try to get the holes coated anyway. The holes are covered with a cover (redundant I know) for the plug wires, so you won't even see the center section anyway.

Question on the calipers. Did you take them apart, or just mask off the moving parts so they wouldn't get coated? I had my set done, but had them broken down to powder coat first, but I have a second set I wouldn't mind getting coated so I can seel them on eBay to help pay for the first set, but I don't have the option to break this set down to coat them, so if I can just have my buddy shoot them without taking them apart, then I'm ahead of the game. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

I was lazy and didn't disassemble them. I had spoken to an aquaintance about the calipers since he has some experience, and said that it wouldn't be a problem. The calipers live in a pretty hot environment to begin with so I didn't see any reason that they would suffer any ill effects from the heat.
Just tape the seals and go.

hey gary...I wonder if you could do an 03-04 cobra blower? if you could...I bet you could get some business going hehehe....I'll be your guienni (sp) pig if you promise to buy me a whipple if you mess up :b
Intake sold on Ebay for $265. I have another intake I am doing now along with a fresh set of valve covers.
I also ordered some chrome powder to do the new covers in, same as the FRPP chrome covers for the 05+ mustangs.
I may have found a way to secretly fund my Oct NASA outing.

Newest attempt
I still need to get used to working with this powder. It is much harder to deal with, and shows EVERY flaw in its application. But for a 1st attempt I think it turned out pretty good.

could you do wheels gary?
