<hr style="color:#D1D1E1; background-color:#D1D1E1" size="1"> Downtown Gadsden is transformed as hundreds of cars and bikes fill the downtown streets. And with blocks of merchants, there's tons to do.

There's no registration, no door prizes or other incentives. But get there early to get the best spots. The streets are blocked off at around 3:30-4pm and cars are already there waiting.

From the web site:
- Please park in empty existing parking spaces first and then in the center lanes only (see diagram below).
- No parking in the outside lanes. Outside lanes are for emergency vehicles only.
- No parking in areas or parking spaces that contain traffic cones.
- Broad Street closes at 4:30 pm on First Friday and the festivities officially begin at 6:00 pm. Please plan to park on Broad Street between 4:30 and 6:00 pm.
- As First Friday grows during the warmer months and shrinks during the colder months, there will be changes in parking arrangements. Please be flexible and understanding of any changes.

A word of caution though as the spectators there are the general public--stay near your car or bike as I've seen more touching and the like than I've ever seen at any event, especially from unsupervised or undersupervised kids.
