Mr. Greg is correct. There is a Falcon emblem underneath the Mustang emblem. The steering wheel was "stolen" from the Falcon platform, along with most everything else.

'64 was a horn 'assembly' that covered a large portion of the wheel. '65 was more of a 'button'.

I will guess and say that the 64 steering wheel was one piece and you had to press down the middle to get the horn to activate. In 65 the Mustang steering wheel was a two piece wheel. You had the actual steering wheel and then the 3 prong looking horn button. The Falcon Spring horn button looked like the 68 Mustang wheel with the semicircle chrome piece that you had to press down.

 

Both steering wheels were a 2 piece design with the chrome horn piece on top of the wheel. The 1964 FALCON had a 2 spoke wheel and the Mustang and Falcon Sprint had a 3 spoke design.
