Scored a Bullitt today

I traded in my black 06 GT for an 08 DHG Bullitt #4305.

I fell in love with the car as soon as I took it for a test drive. I couldn't believe how well it handled, and the clutch felt much smoother than my 06.

Couple of questions.

Is the axleback upgraded over a GT?

Does the bullitt come with the FRPP handling pack?

Yes, you have different exhaust than a standard GT.

The Bullitt does NOT come with the FRPP handling package. The Bullitt has it's own unique suspension. It's ride is somewhere between the Shelby GT and the Mustang GT. FRPP ride is quite a bit harsher than the Bullitt. It's a great car, enjoy!

Thanks. I live in the Temecula area. I was reading in a another post where you said the first thing you did with your bullitt was change the grille. What kind and do you have pictures? I might be interested in changing out the grille as well.

Hi Nick, I assume it's Nick.....
Yes, I swapped out the stock grille with a Shelby Grille and Shelby Grille Surround. For the bottom grille, I used a carriage works grille overlay. I covered the honeycomb on the bottom grille with a couple pieces of fiberglass, then sprayed them black. I also painted the pieces behind the main grille to hide them as well. I maintained the Bullitt trim ring for identity purposes.... Tell me what you think.....

Mike

Painted mirror covers and SilverHorseRacing louvers are on their way.....cannot wait!!

Your entire BULLITT Exhaust system is different that the GT. It Starts with the Modified H-Pipe, which as a baffle in it, and continues out to the axlebacks which have the Packed Mufflers. Together, you get the Unique sound and better performance too, because up front, you already have the BULLITT CAI. And the combination is already Factory Tuned. The Suspension is close to the FRPP, just tuned down for a less harsh ride, but far superior to the GT.

I too, fell in love with the BULLITT. And consequently traded my beloved, heavily modded 07 Redfire for it. I have not looked back!!!

Come on over to IMBOC.com and register your new ride, and join in the prominent BULLITT information and discussions.
