Sounds exactly what the last Bullitt was, and I like how they are doing it. Of course some on here will moan that it won't have 400 hp, or even 350 hp, but at least your getting the car, and hopefully the price won't be that high for the package. Nice that they have 3:73 gears in it. I wonder if the FRPP pack will be a dealer install, or installed at a factory near Flat Rock. You really can't add these packs on the assembly line. Now, the only thing remaining, is to see some pics of the car!!!
There's a picture on the fax i received, but it's black and white and you can't see much. It looks pretty much like alot of the renderings that have been done on the site from what i can see. No unique hood though, which i'm dissapointed about. The photo is signed "Siler" at the bottom.

Thanks for the info Airwolf.
It falls a bit short of my expectations. I am puzzled and disappointed as to the absence of the 5.4 and the double vented hood. The cost of some of the performance modifications plus a couple of thousand dollars would more than cover the proper upgrades and really make it the ideal rendering of the Bullitt.
Thanks Ford.

so no word on pricing? about the hood, will it be unique to the bullitt? and when will it debute? i hope sooner than san fransico.
other than that its about what we expected. dissapointed it does not have new free flowing heads(last i heard ford was working on 3 new heads) but its to be expected.
thanks for the info!

It sounds like I expected. Not too bad but not "knock you over sort of thing." Very close to the Shelby GT as far as added mods but sales are slowing down for those now. Too over priced and very limited colors available. But the Bullitt model should only come in the HG. Nice added features from the FR catalog but nothing really different from '01, and to tell the truth I'd rather have that model year. But another good alterative from a standard GT and under the Shelby GT500 as far as pricing. The limited 7000 units produced should sell ok as long as the dealers don't stick it to those interested in getting one. Not bad but not great. Ford is very tight on the cash now so these additions are a proven winner for the money and someone can soon say "I own a 2008 Bullitt Mustang."
What!?, this sucks. No unique engine parts, No upgraded brakes. no suspension upgrades... 3.73 gears are a plus but there wasn't any additional money ford spent to put 3.73 i instead of 3.55. This car better be 30k at most.
Now we have to really ask would this be worth getting. I mean come on, most of us here would really mod this machine like crazy and change the entire package that comes with the car since there is little power and so on. Don't know how much it would cost, but it would probably be best to get a GT and mod to your liking without the extra cost of the package that will be on the Bullitt. Just my 2 cents.....
This is majorly dissapointing.
With all the possibilities for the Bullitt this sucks.
The only good part is that you can now get a DHG mustang. If I didn't like the color that much I'd just get a regular GT and mod away.
I really hope you can only get one without the spoiler.

What's all show and no go about 3.73 gears and a CAI? Sounds very similar to what some do in the aftermarket.
Bullitts are subtle - usuable torque and handling, along with low key styling.
I expect to see NO gas guzzler tax if they have dialed back the power level with those gears.
If it is a $3500 option, then that's probably worth it.

If the Shelby GT has a GGT with 3:55s, I would assume that the Bullitt would have a GGT with 3:73s.
Sorry guys. I know many of you had high hopes for high performance Bullitt SE. I guess the 400hp Bullitt that stangsunleashed.com reported was not to be.
