You won't see the 4.6L 4 valve in the Bullitt..... Modest hp increase gets my vote.

The perfect Bullitt would have Terminator performance with a n/a 5.4. A 4.6 with minimal performance gains over the GT would be another GT/CS and Ford knows it.

I'm with George on this one. It would be so dumb of Ford to come out with a third one of the same car. GT/CS, Shelby GT, Bullitt.

Doesn't make any sense.

Ford knows it, but Ford would most likely do it anyway. I'd rather be wrong on this and the ADM's that will come with the car. It's just... nevermind. Can only hope, wait, and see if Ford will "do the right thing" for the Mustang faithful and not the dealers this time around.

They knew it back in 2001 and that's why Ford redeemed itself in 2003 with the Mach 1 and the Cobra. It was a welcomed surprise and everyone was happy.

Ford should ask itself which year was better.

Maybe he was comparing the performance of the new bullitt to the original 390 in the movie Bullitt.
1968 Ford Mustang GT (390)
0-60 mph 7.8 sec (MT Jan 1968)
1/4 mile 15.2 sec @ 94.0 mph

Yeesh, just when I hoped Ford would prove me wrong about the Bullitt's engine - actually it's even more pathetic knowing the ADM's about to be slapped on this car.

ADMs for a month or so. Just like the Shelby Gts, it will come down when the dealers realize very few will pay extra for a few cosmetic mods and suspension upgrades.

Only thing that would change this would be for Ford to auction the 08 Bullitt 00001 on Barrett Jackson. ADMS would last a while longer.

You can bet your family jewels on that and it could get worst. If Shelby Autos does the mods an additional $10K is a sure bet.

I doubt if Shelby Autos will be doing the mods. They have too much on their plate now (upcoming GT500KR, Super Snake, etc.). I don't think they could turn around 7700 Bullitts within the same model year. At least not as they are presently set up. But maybe some of the Bullitts could undergo a Shelby transformation of sorts to upgrade power and a further suspension tune if so desired by the customer. Look out ADM!

Shelby will not being doing the mods. 700 Bullitt's are headed to Canada. Shelby GT's cannot be sold in Canada because they do not meet Canadian standards- Shelby is not willing to certify that the car's meet Canadian safety standards.
So the Bullitt's will be built completely by Ford.

I don't know why they are doing this!! Its very apparent that we want more than just cosmetic changes, we want the guts to go with it!!!!
