Next Up...Bullitt.
Understand that there was no argument, per se, and I wasn't looking for one...but it's disturbing that a mod would go out of his way to insult and demean a long-standing member, and frankly, I'm not the sort that tolerates that kind of nonsense, no way, no how...membership notwithstanding.
That sounds sensible to me. Back to topic it is...

And honestly, isn't it bad enough having to argue in regular everyday life? This should be a fun way to relax. Happy posting.
On that note, check out this post when you get a chance. My car arrived last week and I pick her up this Thursday.
The exterior is a dead ringer for yours. I'm throwing those KDW II 255 45 R18 tires on straight away. Long story short, I was supposed to get the red interior, the order got mixed up and I got charcoal...and so the dealer is springing half the cost for a custom interior.
OK, now
Small update on this site:

"<table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top">BULLITT 2008
</td> <td valign="top"> <hr> We notice that many BULLITT maniacs are clicking this website to find more info on the 2008 BULLITT.
All we know is that the prototype is around as stated earlier. That you may enter orders from September 2007 for a sticker price under 35 grand, with some add-on for the first ones (depending on agreed volume with W-B), that it will be shown at the San Francisco Auto Show in late Nov. 2007 and that you may see them end of January or early February at the dealers. Should be o.k, hmmm?"

I still believe the Bullitt will only receive a mild HP increase...and another seven-and-a-half months is WAY too long to wait for the introduction.
Then another three or four months for the production car to hit showrooms? So now you're waiting another year to get one.
Then the inevitable ADMs dealers will charge?
One has to ask themselves: Is it worth the wait?
If it gets 400 HP, then yes, perhaps it is.
If it gets a 15 HP boost, not likely.

You're absolutely right, Dan. Couldn't agree more.

Love the redfire + fanblades. Those KDWII's look sick too on our cars. I love them....look much wider and more aggressive than the stock tires.
With the Saleen PJ hitting the market and being such a big draw, I can see and have no doubt that the Bullit or Mach 1 will have 400HP and I can imagine with the decline in Mustang sales it will be sooner than 1 production year.
I just can't believe that there is no solid info out there on this car. No shots, no performance info, no nothing. There are alot of people out there, including myself who may want to go in a different direction as far as mustangs are concerned and can't because we are waiting on this car or information about it. I mean I can wait, but come on.
Ford give us something.....

Yeah... its the same thing when a movie doesn't get a Press Junket
Either it doesn't need to be advertised .... or it is so bad, they don't want the press ruining it by saying how bad it really is.
The Bullitt I'm sure will look great and have some cool stuff, but it won't be the Mach1 of 03/04 that everyone is looking for.
It'll be closer to 2001 in what we get (if not slightly less)
As John states, unless something has changed... don't expect more than 15hp (rated)

The prototype already exists - many have reported seeing it (including Autoblog) - and there has been nary a peep from any reliable sources inside Ford claiming more than a minimal HP increase. If this thing was gonna be a badazz 375-400 HP machine, Ford would already be leaking out info in the hopes of stealing some thunder back from the forthcoming Challenger and Camaro. Their reticence suggests it's nothing they want to brag about.
Bullit had never been a name ford has dropped lightly in the past, I don't know why they'd start now!
If Ford is going to go with something besides the 4.6 in the Bullitt, they would have to have the engine EPA certified for the Mustang. right? So you would think there would have to be some engineering mules running around for both durability and EPA testing. And you would think that there would be some spy shots floating around of those cars. The fact that there aren't at this stage in the game, witn a November introduction, leads me to believe that the Bullitt will be using an engine that is already EPA certified for the Mustang, which is the 4.6 in the Shelby GT.
Maybe Amy B can shed some light on the EPA certification process and what all is involved. That might give us a clue.

The Original BULLITT from the Movie is were they're aiming....
Not the 2001. Keeping with that I 'm guessing a 4.6 DOHC sitting on the shelve from the 03/04 Cobra.
This motor had 390HP that kinda flows with the 390CI motor on the '68...

I'm excited about the Bullitt, do you think they will try to duplicate the 01' Like with red calipers and so on. I can understand the Green and I very much like the options on the 01' but maybe they could come up with a little more. Meaning just copying the 01 would be too easy and maybe give us a little more. Just thinking.
