I supposed that something could be both "special" & "limited".

To argue semantics, it sounds like the GT-500 is "just another Mustang model", like the Mustang V6 Deluxe is "just another Mustang model". The KR would then be a special edition of that "just another Mustang model" GT-500 the same way the Pony Package option makes your V6 Mustang "special"

It all makes me think that Ford needs to fire a bunch of people from it's marketing department and hire more product development engineers.

Yeah, I don't really count the TopDog Cobra/GT500 as a SE
THey are a yearly model give or take a couple of years till they ramp up.

I mean technically every mustang is limited edition.....limited to 150,000

The thing that ticks most people off, is the fact that we have a 300hp GT, and a 500Hp GT500...
nothing inbetween... and then we get these pseudo SE's built by outside tuner shops that to me aren't worth it.

Shelby GT, Shelby GT500KR (as just 2 examples) are outside the realm of the everyday man who wants something different.
And even then, he could just buy a Mustang GT, and customize it to look cooler and faster

I understand on Fords end its Money.
With those cars, it costs Ford nothing above and beyond manufacturing a Mustang GT or GT500, and let the outside shop do the rest.

Dark Highland Green for Bullitt '01 was actually paint code PY.

it is noted on the door jamb sticker.

Yeah I'm still somewhat miffed that the Shelby GT didn't feature HP in the 400 range. It's kind of silly that the only way to get a Mustang with 100 hp LESS than the GT500 is to pay 10 grand more.

There you go, Boomer - the Mach 1 was the last "in-house" SE by Ford. No SVT or other badging. But, heading back to topic - want Bullitt done right, soon if not now and then bring the Boss back...

What kills me is the fact that they DO have an already kickin engine in the old terminator that they COULD utilize

But part of the reason (as mentioned here before in other threads) that AAI is strapped as to how many configurations (engines) can be used etc

Which brings up the old rumour... AAI has been good for the mustang, or at least better than where it was. But is the rumour true that AAI is losing the mustang, where will it go, and what are the benefits.
(we know the paint at AAI has been questionable)

PX and PY are the exact same color with the exception that PY is water based paint and PX is solvent based paint.

Not sure if the AAI plant is set-up for water based paints. Could be one of the reasons Ford is going with the solvent based, well it's also cheaper.

I got owned, huh?

As I recall, you got slapped for trying to punch outside your weight class.

Now you're trying to do it again. So be forewarned: any more nuisance "infraction" notices or insulting PMs from you, and I will post them openly in the forum for all - including the admins - to see.

Some folks just don't have enough sense to know when to stay down, I guess.

I can't wait to see it either but I don't know why anyone expected this car to be out before MY '08. I mean it was a 1968 Mustang GT right?

Listen this is a Bullitt forum lets take this to a general thread and allow those who want to read something substantial about a car.
You really take things too seriously, you seem to manifest your anger on this forum where there really isn't room for it. STOP!
Talking to you or debating with you is like and there is really no need for it!
Take this further I will report you with another infraction. As far as PM's those can be posted both ways. You are a nuisance here to more than just me and don't let you big post number fool you, you are being looked at!

Incite an argument then try to twist the blame. Is this a new modding activity I'm unaware of...?

I couldn't agree more, you need to stop. But then, I'm not the noob mod who is trying to provoke long-standing members by insulting them.

Actually, ONLY to you, as it turns out.

I have nothing to hide. You, on the other hand, are a mod, and are being held to a higher level of scrutiny as a consequence of your decidedly "un-mod-like" behavior.

You may wish to do yourself a favor and stop chasing me around the board trying to incite trouble with your taunts and threats.

Okay enough of this........BACK TO TOPIC!

I would suggest that both of you not address one another on the boards from now on as it looks like there will be no resolution to this arguement. Go your separate ways.

Hijacking of threads with personal beefs will not be tolerated.

Thank you,
Dan

Understand that there was no argument, per se, and I wasn't looking for one...but it's disturbing that a mod would go out of his way to insult and demean a long-standing member, and frankly, I'm not the sort that tolerates that kind of nonsense, no way, no how...membership notwithstanding.

That sounds sensible to me. Back to topic it is...
