A "real" sleeper...most other drivers won't know what hit them. Just looking into your rear view mirror you would mistake it for a V6 Coupe (no fogs in the grill) and no "GT" markings on it when alongside...it should prove rather interesting when the light turns green!
my thoughts exactly. i was actually thinking about gettin that grill for my GT. sleeper is the way to go!
Sleeper look??? Really, you guys like it? I see the cool factor of having another person think your rolling a V6 and then the light turns green and your dropping the hammer hairy.
I guess I would rather have a good looking car all the time vs worrying about being the stop light to stop light champion.

Colby...my first Mustang was a 1987 LX 5.0... Med Metallic Blue Hatchback...though it had the same powertrain, tires, dual exhaust, etc., like the GT it was a bit more subtle...used to surprise those Camaro Z28s and TransAms all the time. They would mistake me for a regular LX (didn't catch the 5.0 emblems on the side). In '89 I went with a GT and then everyone wanted to race me at the lights..."sleeper" is the way to go. Back then the only one that would really take off on me was the Buick Grand National, a black paint job on the Mom and Pop Regal, but it had a 3.8 SFI Turbo in it...fast, really fast... (even the Vettes feared them).
Hey Mark...I wasn't ******* you, my point was still that I think the car is plain looking and if im spending the money, then I want the mean feel/look of a mustang.
V6's are very easy to notice..If not for the look, all they have to do is drive by. The sound just isnt there.

yeah too plain looking for me...i mean its nice but for the extra cash i rather have it look at least better than a V6 or a GT...this buillet is just not as nice looking as a lot of V6's and most GT's...
The dash trim is nice and the steering wheel is nice but there is nothing eye catching. And as far as being a sleeper, i dont see the point.I dont race stop light to stop light. Its illegal, and childish but thats just me...

First Bullitt on EBay is at a small dealership here in WV. Too bad it is 2 1/2 hours away, I would go take it for a spin and see what they would do on trade for my 07.

The problem with the Bullitt is- you guys don't understand the car. The '68 in the movie was plain- they stripped a GT of all it's badging. So the '08 is a tribute to the movie car.
Since many of you folks "don't get it", then for certain you shouldn't get "IT".

It looks like there are two distinct Mustang fans: those who like their cars to look mean and intimidating on the street, and those who want to recapture the sleeker lines of simpler times (Bullitt).
I can certainly understand both, but they are worlds apart. It's kinda useless to judge one side if you know you're on the other.
Me? I'm on the fence and it all depends on how low I can swing the price of a Bullitt.... it's either a stock Bullitt sleeper with a S/C or an Alloy monster with a Cervinis hood, ducktail, cams and nice exhaust. Hrmmm, decisions, decisions....
Good thing I've set cost to dictate the decision or I might never make up my mind!
