Changed the model? in what way?
It hasn't been to get sold orders into the hands of those who ordered them.
The broken allocation model doesn't look any different. If Ford indeed wants to sell all 7000 Bullitts (to anyone other than dealers) they'll put the car back on the list for plan sales, and they'll stop letting themselves be influenced by the dealerships who want to add ADM, but haven't been successful in doing so. Let the greedy dealers add ADM if they want, don't enable them to do it!
Get cars on the street and off dealer lots and you'll create public interest in buying one or another Mustang model.

This is indeed pick-up truck country, and it is definitely F-150 pick-up truck country.
I think the Bullitt is mostly going to be attractive to older guys like me. Quite frankly I would like one of those Shelby jobs, but they come with the decals, which I regard as a kiddie thing. Even the all black one has the kiddie decals subdued. I'd like a power car, but without the carnival stuff on it.

Man talk about people I know freaking out, trying to get me to order it with stripes...
My cousin who has a clone ’69 Boss 302 complete with all the “non original” stripes absolutely could not understand my choice. He seems to think it’s not complete without the stripes. What is that?
I like the all GO no show (in this case slightly less show
) route myself.
I learned many years ago the more get up and go your car has, the less noise and flash, the longer you keep you driving record and license intact…

I like the black and grey GT500s without stripes as well. I chose stripes on my white because it was the original way '65 Shelbys were painted. Otherwise, I prob woulda gone Tungsten, vapor or alloy without.
Sorry to break it to you, but, even without stripes, your car is going to attract mega attention. They are major attention magnets.

I still have less than 500 miles on it in less than the first month, but I've noticed, everyone from 9 year olds to 80 something year olds giving me the thumbs up. Even the cops can't stop staring. It’s kind of funny.
