2008 Shelby GT Convertible Rear sway bar?

2008 Shelby GT Convertible Suspension Questions
Does it use the M-2005-FR3?
What about the rear sway bar?
The FR3 is coupe only, the FRPP rear sway bar does NOT fit the convertible.
What does Shelby use?
Different endlinks?
Thanks,
PS Steeda's rear sway bar does work on the convertible, BMR, CHE, and Eibach does not.

Where are you reading that it doesn't physically fit?

Perhaps it isn't recommended for the convertible because the kit they sell isn't tuned for the convertible. I'm guessing that is the case because Steeda probably wouldn't care about the weight difference between a coupe and convertible and the effects on handling.

I called and talked to the FRPP powers that be. They said it wont fit and could not answer what SA would fo. Also others on the TMS forums have tried to intall the FRPP rear swaybar and failed. Steeda's brackets allow a rear sway bar to fit. Shelby has yet to respond to my posts on their forums. I am trying to replica the performance of the Shelby GT.

I beg to differ, we've had that kit installed on our 2006 'vert for over a year now. The notion that the rear bar won't fit on a convertible is nonsense, there's nothing at all back there on a 'vert that would impede the installation or function of a rear swaybar. They come with one from the factory for cryin' out loud! The FRPP unit is only thicker that the stock bar by a matter of millimeters. The only reason I can figure that someone would attempt to install it and "fail" is they put the darn thing in upside down.

/rant

Yeah, it'll fit

I have read that the reason that most rear sway bars don't "fit" is that there is some extra bracing down there for the Vert that is not there on a Coupe. BMR Fabrication says "BMR rear swaybars are not compatible with convertible models unless the additional OE convertible bracing is removed." But what is the effect of removing this "extra" bracing. I'm sure Ford put it on there for a reason.

My '08 GT Verti is coming in soon and I am trying to figure this out myself.

FYI, the rear sway bar from Eiback (P/N 35101.310) is being advertised as working on a Vert.

I have a hard time believing that a few mm's of difference would cause clearance issues.
