Geesh, what did people do in the winter back before there were front wheel drive vehicles? I grew up driving a Ford Maverick...talk about crappy in the snow. I believe though that it made me a much better driver, not to mention how much fun I had in the snow with that thing.

dunno, but to me front wheel drive = less control during loss of traction.
I will never own a front wheel drive vehicle.

Hot! Hot! Hot!
Yeah, but I'll bet that ol' Scarpi there, has just about worn out this Stang's "AC" unit. With living at a place in the desert, that feels like it's about a hundred miles from the sun!! Got cha!! Happy "TD" Gang.

Yeah our AC units get a good workout in the summer in Phoenix . But living in Arizona, your temperature is dependent on your elevation. A two hour drive north of my house is Flagstaff a town at an elevation of 7000 feet at the foot of 12,000 foot mountains in a pine forest. It makes a great summer getaway. I know many people on the forum think Arizona is just a big desert but as with other Southwest states we have alot of "high country" that many times has some of the coolest temperatures in the country.

Actually mines a camaro...
Roads up here are terrible compared to what you guys have. A lot less ploughing and maintenance. That and theres no point in driving it when ive got a 4x4 anyways!

Winter Wheels
As promised, her are some pics of the new wheels (on a really dirty car)...
They aren't as pretty as the stock wheels, but not too bad for the few Winter months.

I just checked discounttiredirect.com and they still have these wheels on special for $60/each, for any other Northerner attempting to brave the Winter season.

Drag strip on ice would be fun. I would bet money.
2nd gear pull on a snow packed road, with snow tires and TC on, she pulled pretty **** good, and straight too!

I had A 1982 mustang I use to drive year round and when the roads got bad here in pa I had to back up over the hill in front of my house if I wanted to get out.......... other wise I would just sit there and spin the Michelin radials
