As long as you have the right wheel offset with the overall tire size (about 27") you shouldn't rub tires, the first thing you'll scrape is the nose .
I used Eibach sportlines on the PJ and I hit some heavy bumps and never rubbed a tire.

I am on FRPP K's, being very cautious I can avoid scraping the front (watch for big driveway dips/lips, and take them at angles when needed). What I DO have issues with is I drag the exhaust right before it curves up over the rear axle... I need to see if I can tuck it up more. And no, I would not dream of driving mine in NYC.. I thought I ripped the bottom off my Subaru last weekend on a massive pothole on the LIE. Also of course be verycareful of curbs/parking stops as my car will NOT clear them, I tend to back into spots both because its easier to get out later and because the rear has more clearance and I can hang the tail over those blocks which tucks the nose deeper in the spots.
And yes, sorry... you car does need some drop

I have a 2008 GT/CS and I lowered just the rear to level the car out and it made a huge difference. I didn't want to lower the front because it was already scraping pulling into my driveway. Easy one hour job to replace rear springs with leveling springs.

I used the FRPP "P" springs which only drop the car 1". Still looks good imo without the wheel touching the top of the wheelwell look. Still a decent ride but you can tell it's firmer than stock. If I were you I would listen to myself first. You're the one that has to drive it. Don't let the "slam-it and it needs 900 hp" crowd tell you what to do. Then again, you can always put it back to stock if it is too low, and sell the parts you don't want. Good luck!
