Think what you would have done for the GT, then do it for the v6. There arent as many options YET, but there will be.

Number of CAIs comming out, MMR and Steeda have one out now. Xcal2 is just out, and Dialbo will work as well. There are a number of exhaust kits out, both dual and single. Mac and JBA headers. T-lok and gears and springs for performance.

Take a few minutes and just troll these boards, I think we've managed to cover everything thats out so far.

I've had my Mustang V6 for about a month, but I put a ton of mileage on: over 2,500 so far. Overall, I'm happy with the horsepower. A lot of people here are putting on the Magnaflow muffler (including me when it gets delivered) because it seems to smooth out the power curve and provide a few extra horsepower. If she bought an automatic, you can experiment by turning the overdrive off to give you a little more torque.

The only thing that I don't love about the new Mustang is the tires. Coming off of the 245/45/ZR17s on my 1998 GT, I was used to better handling when going around curves way too fast. After some research, I've realized that the 215/65/R16s are literally truck tires. I like the 16s because of the smoother ride, but I may try to find a V or Z-rated tire and something a lot softer to grab the road better.

Good luck with the mods. I am not an expert so I have no tips for you on how to tune it up.

I'm planing on going with a steeda cai, SCT Xcalibrator, Magniflow muffler, JBA headers, T-lok, and a set of 235/55/16 Khumo tires. That should add about 30 to 40 more horsepower and give much better traction. Also, the SCT tuner can smooth out the throtle response sense it is an electronic throtle and there is some room for improvment as far as the way it behaves. With these mods, an 05 V6 should be aproaching stock 99-04 GT teritory.

When you say throttle response are you referring to whene you press the acceleration pedal and it takes a second or 2 for the car to react to you pressing the pedal further down?

Yup thats the one Im sure hes referring to.. the hesitation problem associated with the throttle-by-wire our cars have.
