Removing front part of GT/CS stripe in front
Hey all! I'm thinking about removing the front portion of the GT/CS stripe. The reason being that the driver's side is a bit off in the front and doesn't line up perfectly with the rest of the stripe. It's cocked downward a bit in the rear so I was thinking of just removing it. Here's a photoshop I did without the front portion of the stripe in front of the wheels. What do you think?

I edited my post and included a pic of my car as it is now with the front portion of the stripe intact so everyone can compare the two. It actually looks cleaner with the front portion removed. I think I'm going to do it.

Just remove that GT/CS front stripe piece. You'll love the cleaner look!!
Wow! Here just as I thought I was only one out here in the S197 world that liked that funky looking GT/CS front stripe piece removed! When I saw the Ford's very first prototype pictures of a white GT/CS with the 18" Fan Blade wheels and the front stripe decal blocked off, I just fell in love!! Had to have that exact look!! So when we got our new 2007 Cal with the Fan Blade wheels from our dealer, we then promply removed the front stripes the first week we had it home! Really cleans up the nose area IMO!! Parked Stang out in the hot sun to warm up the decal. Some gentle lifting from an edge and it peels right off. A little detail polish and all done! "You can Do It". CalStang

it does look good. I have a white GT-CS 'vert and was thinking of doing that. however I may be getting the solid version of the GT/CS stripe instead of the fade away - I'll just leave off the small front pieces. Another option is to continue the solid stripe over the side scoops and go all the way to the rear. I'm going to get some photoshop work done and post the options.

I always thought it was pointless that Ford put that little piece of stripe there as the front of the fender is just not long enough to warrant it being there. If I had a GT/CS I would be taking it off as well...

yea at this site.. http://www.baltimorestreetmods.com/i...products_id=96 you can get any text you want on them and they are pretty easy to install i just took off the dark grey stripes and ordered metallic silver.. im no professional but they went on pretty decent here is a better pic
with the silver ones im going to make the gaps smaller between door and the body
this is what made me want brighter stripes i caught the sun hitting the stripes and it looked nice!, also this when i still had the factory sticker on lol
