I recently ordered a GT/CS coupe ( grabber orange )
Does the California Special come with the engine plenum cover?
Is this only available with GT appearance package?
Does anyone here have the Ford part # for the plenum cover?

The plenum(Pony Emblem Engine Cover) in not part of the GT/CS package. It is only available as part of the GTAP, or at least that was the case several months ago. It may have change . Congrats on car

When I orderd my GT/CS and had the Comfort group package and the GT Appearance package added I recall it is in the appearance pack. there are links here somewhere ?

Yeah, unfortunately you end up paying twice for those "rolled exhaust tips"...that I replaced with the GTA Supremes anyways....

Pay twice ? I have them on my 05 and now don't need them for the 07 as it comes with , I heard that since it was something I bought I can take them off & resell if I like, the 05tips for the GT

Ed - the "rolled tips" weren't offered on the '05 (if I'm understanding your comment) and I doubt you'd get what you paid for the stock mufflers with 3" tips - even if they are rolled. I learned the hard way to save the stock exhaust when it came trade in time for my '05 GT coupe....had to buy another set for $50.00 + shipping so I didn't lose on the Magnaflow axlebacks I had installed. Will do the same with the GTA's as I really like these.....anyways back on topic....I think if I had it to do all over again, I'd skip on the GTA package because the fake hood scoop is OK - but I'd rather have the CDC shaker hood kit and both the plenum cover and exhaust have been removed (plenum cover won't fit my strut tower brace and I have the GTA Supreme exhaust installed)....so in the long run it was a waste of $$'s for me (the GTA package) that I could have used towards the CDC shaker hood kit. Oh, and since the 3" rolled exhaust tips come with the GT/CS package and as a component of the GTA package you are in effect paying twice for the tips - if you get the GTA package.

No sorry I got my tips from Kevin for the 05GT to do with as I like but the 07 will come will the rolled ones, It's differnt in Canada from the US and now when I do a price & build the comfort group does not come up ? andway I went with the comfort group as well the GT appearance package. even got this this morning from Ford

IMO,

The GT apr package is a waste of money.
If had not been previously ordered on this '07 GT/CS vert, I would not have ordered it.
The "scoop" looks "cheap" IMO, also is in the line of sight while parking, affects the veiw of the edge of the hood.

The tips are small, my magnaflow cat back looks better, again IMO,
The plenium cover is fine but doesn't look that different from Aftermarket
Is it any cheaper from Ford?

Overall the car equiped liked this is great, just sort of cheaply overdone by Ford.
Instead of the hood scoop, change the hood to a different design, something more '67, '68 GT/CS.

All of the above commenents are my own opinions, and not neccesarally the veiws or comments of others on this site.

Yup Now I'm starting to miss my 05 GT I sure hope they get it about as right as I have now , it runs so good I hate to give it up ! I think I may even cry when she leaves. Best darn girl I ever had think about it she always puts out , never talks back unless I get really stupid then all the alarms go. The way I see it if you give her all the TLC she needs she will do equally & then some back !
