Welcome to the boards Tersesa. See picture below. Are you talking about the (first one) hood or (2nd) intake?

If you look closely at both sides of the center of your hood you should see one on each side. Welcome to the boards and you have to post pics of GT/CS.....

I've posted a picture. Yes the insulator has 2 pony located at the sides.
But I'm looking for the one that has it in the middle only.

Teresa - IIRC you are looking for the 99 - 04 hood insulator as my '00GT had just the one running pony in the center.....don't know if that is interchanable with the '05's or not?

Good luck and welcome to TMS and your new GT/CS! I have the VB as well - great color.

Someone must have modified it then, because I have seen one. only one though on mine. THe body shop lost it though and so I am trying to find one or locate someone who can make one. My mustang was one of the first off the assembly line. Therefore, when I bought it I was told that it was one of a few like it. Now maybe it's the only one.
thanks
Teresa

A vin can be Used to Identify a True Gt/CS .

I took possesion of my 07 GT/CS on 7/10/06. So maybe it was an aftermarket piece. I know that the dealership didn't put it there. My salesman and I both know that it was on the insulator. The body shop personnel says I'm lying. Which of course was the wrong thing to say to an Oklahoma Girl not to mention a scorpio as well.
Just hoping that some one might just by accident have the same insulator.

Well sort of like this I gather in that each placement and number has a meaning ?
This pic btw is not a GT/CS I was googling trying to figure it out.

Look in Topic Mustang Discussion - The Market Place - and Ford OEM Parts 05stangkc Kevin really great fellow , no lie you have to send him an e-mail or private message and ask for Hot Sheet updates and he will e-mail them to you. Then you can see what is available as well out there.

Kevin can run a report by VIN which has significant detail on it but, there is no extra digit that identifies a CS like there was in 1968.

Tersea, please PM (personal mail your VIN to me). Click on my screen name upper left and select send private message!
