Santa Rosa is more North West and believe me it gets bitter cold. Rosa is strange though, the time I've lived here it has reached 25* each year but never freezes or snows like any normal place. In the Summer its well over 100*. Where I work it snows every winter and that is just 50 mins north... and last Summer it reached as high as 110*. Where I am from is snows feet worth of snow in the winter and gets triple digits in the summer, but that is as far North of CA you can get before hitting OR. CA is not all warm weather year round. Granted it can be more pleasant than some areas in the world. I have no extended experience with Southern Ca. Only been to LA once in my life and that was to by a motor for a Porsche I had and . SOCAL is overrated if you ask me.

Anyhow,

Cheers everyone,

Wow Nemisus, you have completely worked over that car in the last month or so. Looks great, bet it runs like a beast, probably puts down some serious power. Congrats! Nice ride!

Thanks Shane,

When I think about it I bought the car last April, so it hasn't even been a year. I really did hit the mods running with this one. After selling my 2005 Roush I vowed to either get, another Roush fully loaded or a GT-500, or find the perfect foundation to build my own. While I was on the search for an 11 or newer my wife was the one that located the GT/CS at a dealership near Concord CA. That year style has always been my favorite so it was something I had to see. She also knows how I feel about special or limited edition cars. While GT/CS is not serialized I do consider it to be a Limited Edition. Test drove it and bought it on the spot.

Now it's time to just drive and enjoy. I have a real bad habit of getting a car, building it up and then moving on. This one will remain with us for some time.

Anyhow,

Thanks for the feedback and comments.

Cheers

Nemi

Joseph, your wife is most definitely a 100% die hard Mustang enthusiast, no doubt about it. Just hope you know just how lucky you truly are to have such a woman like her in your life, as she's truly one of a kind and very rare indeed to come by to say the very least

Morning Rocky,

Myself and my Wife thank you for the kind words. She really is something special and I still, after nearly 14 years of marriage wonder what I did right to have her choose me? One of my fondest early memories of her was hanging out on the weekend not long after we decided things were serious. I couldn't find her in the house and walked outside to the garage to find her in a jump suit (coverall) deep under her Nissan Pathfinder changing the oil. Now that boys and girls is a sign! She's been into cars and seen me go through plenty and supported me along every step, good and bad decision I've made. I've sadly gotten rid of some real neat cars. 66 GT, 65 A code Fastback, 3 Porsche 914's to name a few. Oh, she's also into motorcycles. And I don't mean two up riding! She road an adventure bike to work for nearly 2 years before having our youngest. I believe she is now interested in getting a cruiser to suit the VTX 1800 I have sitting in the garage.

Yup, She's a keeper!

Update: Wilwoods all around

Greetings TMS,

Been a bit since my last update. Lots going on but I managed to make time for my next big (and hopefully final) upgrade.

As the title suggests I just finished the install on Wilwood Superlites front and rear. 6R in the front and 4R in the rear. Nice upgrade but I haven't had a chance to test it yet. Gotta bleed the system, adjust the e-brake, and wait for my Diff fluid to arrive. I wasn't aware the rear axles would have to be removed to do this job so I decided since the Diff cover was removed I might as well get that Ford Racing cover I've always wanted. Think I was due for a fluid change as well.

I had hoped to do better on the pictures but this install was a pain in the back side.

Here goes:

Before

6R Pass side

4R Pass side

4R Drive side

Car will be on stands until the end of the week when parts arrive. Man the anticipation is rough.

In other news, not mustang related. My family decided to spoil the crap out of me. More than they already do... and got me an early Fathers Day gift. More like they allowed me to buy something.. lol

2015 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited. I know its not mustang but made is this thing awesome.

Until next time,

Cheers

Brakes!

Update:

Finally the Wilwoods are done. What a pain that ended up being. Still need to get the ebrake adjusted but that is another day. Stops real nice though!

Hey Joseph, I'm very impressed with all the mods you've done to improve your GT/CS performance and handling potentials, as you've most definitely made this car your very own and have done such an excellent job with your build progress and also for sharing that with all of us here on the forums. In the meantime, just want to say congrats and also thanks for continuing to follow up with us with your build progress.

Hey there Rocky!

Thank you very much for the feedback! I believe (and we know it isn't true) I am finally at a place with this car that I can just get in and drive. From day 1 when I brought it home, to now it is an entirely different experience! Each time I start it I get that childish grin on my face we all know and have for our cars. I still go outside and take one last look at it before ending the night. (Weird right!) The best part of this build and end result is that I saw it through from start to finish. The only other person to have claim to that is my loving and most supportive wife who has never been against getting her hands dirty wrenching on it when two hands is just not enough. I've owned many mustangs. From a 65 Fastback (regret that one getting away), 66 coupe, new edge to Roush and none have compared to what I've put together here. May not be a show stopper, or race winner but it provides me a new experience every time I get behind the wheel!

Truly amazing how something like a car can make a person feel! Not everyone will agree and some might believe that is down right comical. But those that feel, felt or are learning to... know exactly what I mean!

Cheers to you Rocky and everyone that has followed my journey with the GT/CS

Nemi

Thank you for sharing your build with us. I am amazed how quickly you went from new car to you to the additions you have made. Awesome work and a fantastic car you have built. Wish I had half the knowledge and know how you have shared with us over this build. You have one amazing ride there!

Good Morning TMS,

I have nothing new to report other than its been too long since I've said anything on the boards. Thought I'd come by and say hello and see how everyone is doing?

Since my last post

I sold my house and bought a new place further north to be closer to work. With COVID my wife gets to run her family business from home so it didn't make sense for me to commute... so we made the decision to sell and move.

The GTCS is still amazing in every way and runs strong. I don't drive it as much though. Sort of a good thing as I was really racking up the mileage.

Anyway,

That is about all I have to report.

Cheers friends,

Nemi

Glad you are still enjoying the car and are safe. I recently topped 113K miles on my '13 GT.

Happy to hear that everything is going good. A shorter commute is always good. Stay safe.

Hey there Joseph!
Congrats on the new house. Also glad everything is well with you and your wife and also good to know that your passion for your GT/CS remains strong in every way and continues to perform strong. Meanwhile, stay safe and keep in touch.

Evening TMS,

Been just over 4 months since I put any attention to the boards. Something I said I'd not do. Guess life gets in the way! Nothing new to report other than we are good and managing as good as anyone else in this weird crazy world that we live in.

I've spent so much time in our new place, building, adding and making our own that I forgot all about TMS. I think the hardest part is that I am not driving the GT/CS during the winter and it's killing me! Wanted to drop a line and say hello to all that have followed along. Here's to hoping you're all well and safe from my family to yours.

Cheers,

PS,

I am certain that come spring, I'll have some new stuff report.

Nice to hear things are going forward. I am looking forward to some kind of normalcy in the coming months, hopefully before summer. Getting fed up with this limited life style.

Congrats on the move. Sounds like the new place is keeping you hopping.

Hey Shane,

Yea the property is nice. Far enough way that we feel secluded but close enough if we need something we're okay. Not the most usable 3 acres but it's loaded with trees. Like camping every day. Actually bought a 2020 Kubota last week and have been making a spot that might actually become a family camp ground.

Good to hear from ya

Good morning TMS,

Couldn't pass the opportunity to share this image. Last night we got the first biggest storm in our new place. Woke up to 11" of snow and no power. Something about the GTCS covered in snow made for a great photo. Really does make me want to get the shop built so I can have a nice place to put her when I am not driving it.
