My new GT/CS is finally here!
hello everyone,
I picked up my GT/CS in NE Ohio late last week and drove her back to Colorado over the weekend. The trip was a great way to bond with my new car and see a little of the country as well. I took the long way and ventured through Chicago, Iowa, S Dakota and Wyoming, stopping along the way to see Badlands National Park and Mt Rushmore. After all of the excitement, it is very difficult to sit still at work today
I thought I would share a photo of her in the Badlands in case anyone needed a distraction.
Take care,
Beth

Wow suprised you stripped the GT/CS.... I have been up in the air with this Mod, due to it not being part of the CS package. Have you gotten any bad remarks from ppl who are strict about the CS heritage?
I just dont want the re-sale to go to far down due to what I change from the "CS package exterior"

The car is really nice looking and a steal for what you got over the apperance package.
Just my thoughts.........

I don't know anything about the resale value of an altered GT/CS since I am not planning on selling her. :-)

Nice looking GT/CS!! Welcome and congrats on the new ride. I've too have been thinking about removing the stock GT/CS tape and installing lemans style rocker panel striping like the GT500's (only with GT/CS of course). I would either go with white (again like the GT500) or perhaps silver to match with the dove interior.

Welcome Beth, hope you will check back often. Looks like you're not afriad to see all those bugs splattered on your bumper! Good for you! Wondering if the engine smell gave you a headache? Nice way to break her in too.
How many miles do you have on it?

Welcome to the club...the more I see (rare sighting!) of the black CS the more I like it...of course, VB still rules the roost ...
And, FWIW, the CS actually stands for Coolest Stang........

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, the bugs were very disconcerting. We stopped and washed her every 500 miles but I gave up during the last leg and just washed her this am. As for miles, we are up to 1800 but they were 1800 very fun miles. :-) Now, she is very clean and parked safe and sound in my garage.

BTW I had used Pam in a can ( veggie spray ) on my 77 Cougarscrome bumper when I did lots of highway driving in the bug infested grass-hopper prairies , I even did a test area on the paint so that when I got to where I was headed wash or wipe away and nevera worry,But keep in mind I never had a problem with the paint but you would want to try a test area first as I think oil on it on a hot day may have a bad effect , I never did except for ROCKS !
