Changes the instant center IIRC for more bite, on lowered cars it brings it back close to or at the normal position. The arms should be parallel or facing slightly down toward the ground. If they are angled up relative to the ground, your losing traction.

I did LCAs and relocators on my car to cure axle hop. Worked out pretty good.

The BMR brand only has one hole for the mount, one of two choices for the LCA and one on the tab that extends up to the axle mount. The UMI that Rick has have two holes for the mount which would appear to eliminate the possibility of the bracket being able to rotate and bend like the picture of the BMR that 06GT kindly provided the link for. However the CHE brackets appear to mount the same as the BMR in the links provided. So it would appear they would be subject to the same failure possibility as the BMR. From what I can tell by studying all these pics for the last 30 minutes is that the UMI brackets that Rick has mounted appear to be superior to both the CHE and BMR. Just my 2 cents.
I bought the UMI ones, then used a grinder on the upper edge. I installed them and had them welded just to be sure. I may never put enough force on them to bend them but it's cheap insurance so why not.

Rick, are you using the 1" FRPP springs or the 1.5"? I see the point on the brackets from a geometric stand point but it would seem like a part like this would be included with lowering kits. I guess I don't understand why it isn't a bigger deal with lowering the cars.

The lower you go the more you need the relocation brackets. That said, as long as you're not drag racing the car it's not that critical.
