1/2Here are some photos of the hood struts install by the auto body shop.
The last photo is taken under the driver side dash. I saw this connection just sitting there. Anybody know what it is for?
Hmmm... I'll have to check it. I just tried the holes (which looked like they were angeled) the way I thought they were supposed to go. I never even tried it the other way.

I always wanted my car to be different!

Cool, I get to use my tools again!
(Hey... maybe Shelby put it on the wrong way!)
Have no idea what that plug goes to.
Hot tip... put some grease or some kind of protectant on that center strut stud before it starts rusting. Just a transparent thin layer will do. Otherwise, it'll start to rust in a couple months. Take a look at everyone else's pics and see for yourself.
Hood struts look great!

I'll take that hot tip and run with it. Thanks for the heads up!
Ray if I may ask ? What kind of camera do you use, me I have a Sony DSC-F828 8 meg & video but I need a wife to show me how to read the manual on how to use it to be able to get as good a shot as you can take !
Well, I did some poking around through the service manual and all I could find in that area that has a plug is the IFS (Inertia Fuel Shutoff Switch). I kinda doubt that this is it as it would probably throw a light if it wasn't connected... but, who knows.
I found a pic of that general location when I did the pedals and I don't show any open plug hanging down.
See attachments.

Here's a mosaic of my Stang made with a specialty piece of software. It's kinda hard to make out with such a small image. Each tile is a photo I took of my Mustang. 1600 images I think. Pretty amazing technology. It took a few hours to render.
Send me a disk with four to five hundred images of your car and I'll make you a poster for a few hundred dollars.

fixed...
Ok, I fixed my Shelby engine brace today and I took blkstang06's advice and painted the tops of my shocks (thanks to TacoBill also). Bobbie at MAG is sending me raw strut tower caps and I will trace where the engine brace would hit. Then they will cut out and paint the finished product for me so it will fit over the brace. What kind of service is that?!
Also included some more misc photos of my new body parts.

Between rain showers today I installed my BRS wheel spinners.
Love the look and they make the car go faster
I can also pull up next to other cars and use them to pop their tires
