Vegasjay - Good point, I will look around at the office for some lunch time company! Thanks for the kudos.

I been driving at night a little bit. Have not been taking it to work. Up to 133 miles already! The wierd engine smell seems to be going away finally. The shaker 500 seems to work flawlessly but, I don't have all the buttons down yet. Otherwise it's going great!

My GT/CS arrived June 26th (Ordered April 11th). It was invoiced June 7th. and it does have the GT Appearance package. I picked up the car on the June 28th. At that time the GM told me that it would be sometime before they would see another CS as there was a shortage on (64W) wheels.

It's starting to look like every dealer has their story as to what you can get, and when it will arrive.

There is most definitley some big money going through there! All I bought were die-casts...had fun messing with the doorman at the resort though, he saw me in a barrett jackson shirt and asked me if I bought any cars there...Yeah, I got a 442 and a Mustang, one was 80 and one was a 100! I rented a vert from Hertz while I was out there and I had the top down in January, so you better put yours down in November! Of course I was coming from sub zero Wisconsin!

this could be correct. my dealer told me that there would be extra 60 day delay on gt/cs + shaker 1000. i suspect it is more dealer allocation-mix and less your build specifications-

Congrats on your purchase! I picked up my GT/CS on June 20. I love it! Passed on the appearance package, not into the hood scoop. However, did order the engine cover. I am reading all over how dealers can't get the parts....

Mine as well had a very odd engine aroma, which has since gone away.

Found a piece of my history after the server crash! Wahoo! This is where I started it all.
Spent close to 60 K on stangs between here and Sept 08.

Happy to have my gt 500 now but, this really takes me back!
