Goodbye GT/CS Hello Shelby GT 500

Well guys im sorry to say i had to cancel my order for my GT/CS vert. Im really not a very patient person so i decided to go down to my dealer to see if i could get some answers on why i still didnt have a vin or build date. All they could tell me is it was delayed because of wheel shortage. So with no information given i was forced to look at the 2007 Shelby gt 500 they had in the showroom. At first i didnt pay it much mind as the sticker price was 69,000.00 . But being that my car was on order i had nothing to loose and thought i'd have a little fun. I played the game with salesman and got the feeling they were pretty hungry and needed to unload that 500. I ended up talking them down to 5,000 over MSRP, which left me in a pickle because i had my heart set on a convertable.Well one test drive was all it took and i forgot all about my vert. I live in a small town and guess not to many residents here are in the market for this vehicle. I looked at one at a dealer down the hill about 45 miles away a month ago and they still wanted 75,000.00 . So i hope i didnt do to bad because i havent heard of to many people getting them closer t0 MSRP. All i can say is I love that supercharger! Thanks to all

Congrats. That sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me, compared to what they are still going for in other markets.

I would say you are definitely ahead of the curve as the going rate is still around $10,000 ADM. You lucky dog! Congratulations!!!
