Any of you guys out there that own or have owned a GT/CS and changed out the factory hood and have the factory hood scoop, and may be willing to part with it for a reasonable price? Since Ford doesn't make or stock them any more, my options are limited. Or if you happen to know someone that just has one laying around in the garage maybe? Color is not an issue. Just looking for the scoop, not the hood and the scoop. TIA

 

Makes me wonder what the Ford dealership did with mine after installing the Shaker hood when the car was new.

Oh I know it's gonna be a tough search, trust me. I didn't know it wasn't very active here. I figured this was the best place to start. I am sure they sold the scoop off yours at new, never been mounted prices as soon as they got it off. Probably my only other shot is find one on a shelf somewhere in a junkyard. I'd really like to have the shaker like yours, but that would be like a needle in a haystack....lol. If you come across or hear of a scoop, keep me in mind, thanks

 

If you don't have your heart set on the originals and don't care about the color (I don't know what color your car is), I have brand new, still in the box MMD pre-painted hood scoop (Candy Apple) and SpeedForm pre-painted CS style side scoops. Long story short, my clear coat was peeling on my 08 GT/CS, and I was going to replace them with something so I bought those but ended up having my originals touched up instead. By then, AM wouldn't let me return the painted ones, so back in the box they went and they are still sitting. I was going to get around to posting and trying to sell them, but haven't gotten around to it. If you are interested, shoot me a PM and make me an offer..........

 

Sorry for the long time it took me to reply, I would rather have the original Ford scoop. I'll probably have to settle for a close reproduction one tho. The one your selling is a tad too big for my taste, sorry. Mine is performance white, and I would probably have it just a flat black anyhow, since everything else is blacked out. Thanks anyhow.

 

You mentioned once that you did like my Shaker. The company is still around. The design changed a little under the hood but the rest is the same. The dealership installed mine when the car was new back in '07. It cost $2,000 completely installed (from the shaker itself to cutting the hood and anything else required) so it is pricey.
