07-08 GT/CS Difference

I was at a dealer today and it would seem the only difference is the 08 has ambient lighting in the foot wells. The button is beside the cup holder and it is in only one colour and does not follow the "my colour" in the dash lights. It was rumoured the "my colour" dash would not be in 08 but that seems to be a mistake.

Oh and Candy Apple Red is a colour option...does anyone know if this is in addition to Redfire or has replaced it?

the 08's also have standard side airbags, which was an option in 07.

The ambient lighting does change colors but I believe is limited to 7 different colors unlike the my color dash.

Cool More 2008 Stang Changes

Also. 2008 Stangs now have some chrome rings around two of the radio controls. Plus some funky looking new seat beat holders, for an easy reach during install. And some new dark gray metallic paint on the spokes of their Fanblade wheels. Thats what we saw. Could be more stuff that we did not see? Believe we heard that our CS's special two tone leather interior is now going to be an option on GT's? Can anyone verify that rumor or anymore known changes?

HID headlights are a "pay for" option, and at the cost of a replacement bulb, I would stick with the standard halogens. Try pricing a D2R HID bulb lately?

HID bulbs usually last about 100 times longer than halogen. There's no filament to blow off.

That button is the ambient lightning button. You get 7 colors. I didn't order it because it looks silly to me. Still waiting on my performance white GT/CS which is up to the blend date in the production process. A couple of weeks to go I think.

Yes it's the button to control the lights. My insturment panel has the My Color feature and I personally love it. I also love the feature for the 2008s. I would like to add some of that splash of color to the underdash. Why not?

floor lamps should have been there from the onstart period ! call it an option & charge for it gees I guess if you dropped something & had to try to find it while moving and got into a wreck because there were no lights there , I think you understand my meaning. ! It should be a retrofit they should have put in all our 05 & up Mustangs.

I plan on adding some LED's to the underside, most of the time I have "My color " on blue so I am going with blue on its own switch and then wire in white on the same circuit as the dome light.

Yup, posts 32, 34, 37 are mine. thats where I got the idea

getting a new hood, the Cervinis 68 Shelby style with twin scoops, thought about putting amber in the holes and tying them to the turn signals. I picked up a bunch of these in a grab bag from theledlight.com . Ideas just keep coming... just hope I dont over do it...LOL
