you think they might have at least used some poly-filler to make it appear to be one with the hood.

I went saw the car as well. It is a color people will love or hate. I like it. The hood scoop is nice and I really like the silver bullits. The rolled tips I could live without. They look so small in that GT bumper. It certainly is a head turner.

I tried to capture angles of the hood scoop to show its size in relation to the hood. In person, it looks like it fits the car perfectly, in my opinion. Those who don't like falsies would say otherwise, of course.

It is a bit smaller than the Roush scoop, but I think it is well integrated and brings some surface excitement to the hood.

I have the fullsize versions of all the photos I've posted in this thread. PM me if you want any of them!
now this same GT is on ebay

Bad idea. The hood is aluminum and the scoop is plastic. The two materials expand and contract at different rates. Any filler installed between them would eventually crack. I remember lots of people attempting to mold 'glass scoops to steel hoods back in the 70's, they would always crack within a couple of years. Besides, I like the scoop just as it is. If you want a molded-in look, an entire aftermarket hood is the best way to go.
