"Iraq"

I guess all you Military people on this site are blowing up innocent countries. According to BC anyway.

Religion. Oh no. Since ya brought it up. Here's 'hypocrite' BCShelby's next rant. "Organized religion is no good for us". Or, "There's no difference between Jerry Falwell and Osama Bin (How's that cave) Laden"

You have so much anger built up inside of you, don't you?

Was it hard for you to roll out of bed when Stephen Harper, a conservative, was elected Prime Minister of Canada?

I'm sure you believe that we as people are ruining the Earth. If so, then why are you considering buying a Shelby. Doesn't your envolvment of spewing these harmful gases help lead to the Earth's distruction you believe in? Oh I see, it's ok for you to drive a Shelby but I can't drive an evil SUV. Right?

Hey BC, what's your opinion of Walmart?

So, from reading between the lines of your cleverly disguised "profile" above, you are a bomb-touting, Jesus-loving, conservative evangelical who works at Walmart.

Geez, I'm sorry, I honestly didn't know; now it's all clear to me. You have my deepest sympathies.

I think I managed to work the religion thing in there.

Well, you have one of those correct.

*** Edit ***
I better edit this. It's not the Walmart part. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Ala Seindfeld gay episode.

I don't know why the misuse of a word on an internet site has become such an issue. ESPECIALLY, when things like "lol, rofl, sts, imo, etc." are used. While I understand that all of those are abbreviations, isn't the goal of the post to convey a message? And wasn't that mesage conveyed?

Besides, it is just as reasonable to believe that the 'e' was left out of 'especially' by mistake as it is to assume that the 'y' was a typo in 'profit'.

The bottom line is...NO ONE CARES! Get over yourselves and talk about the object that this forum was brought together for...the Mustang. The last time I checked, Mustang enthusiasts didn't care too much about grammar, punctuation, or typos. And if they did, it meant that they were trying too hard.

One last thing before I try to bring us back on topic. I am in the military, I have been to Iraq, I have blown stuff up that needed to be blown up. I am relatively conservative. My point here is...Wal-Mart does suck.

And now back to the subject at hand.

I went, a week ago, to Friendly Ford here in Vegas and told them what they needed to give me to sell me an '06 GT. They dealt with me very well...they only missed my request by $40 a month for my payments. So, I left, telling them that I would come back in a week after returning from Boston and after getting paperwork from my bank for a loan at a MUCH lower interest rate than they could offer me.

Well, that sounds a WHOLE bunch like the "lying consumer" story that we heard before...the only difference is, I am headed back tomorrow afternoon to take them up on their price offer and buy the car with a loan at the lower interest rate that my bank offered me and the dealership couldn't come close to. SO...just because someone says "I will be back with a lower interest rate loan" doesn't mean that they are blowing smoke. Maybe it means they will be back. And just cause they don't come back doesn't mean that they didn't get that loan...maybe they just didn't like you.

Which brings us full circle to how his thread went off the rails into caustic-land: a dealer actually tried to defend the ARC (**** Rape Charge) on the Shelby - which is pretty much an invitation to get run out of town.

As to "no one caring" about this thread's venture off-course, well, let's see what's next...

You have proven beyond a reasonable doubt all points of your trade's stereotype you so much objected and whinned about. The funny part is you have done all leg work. Have you wondered why other TMS members in the same field as you have not come to your rescue? Chances are they aware of this topic but do not share your convictions or life style.

Hopefully you have something better to counter with other than a spelling b and the gay stuff whenever you confront one of your prospective lying customers.

It is nice to hear of someone who keeps their word. It is rare these days. If someone didn't like me (I have very rarely given anyone a reason not to, internet prattle aside ) I would much rather be told (honest, get it?) than lied to. Congrats on the new Stang. We will all be expecting pictures to break up the 3rd grade rhetoric in this thread!

I will ATTEMPT to end with this:

AMV is part of a free enterprise society. It would be pointless for a dealer to sell a car at MSRP when the person who buys it could put it on ebay and make $20000. The dealers are there to make money; they will take as much as they can get, just as someone hocking junk on ebay or selling a home. If no one pays AMV, it goes away. Pretty simple concept for anyone with a junior high education (much less an English major).
Not all customers lie, nor do all salesmen. There are plenty of both who are good and bad, just as there are good and bad doctors, nurses, etc. A person shouldn't be judged on ignorant stereotypes and assumptions.

I appreciate the thanks...I never know what to say when people say that..."Well, thank you for taking my money at the gas station." It is my job. I enjoy appreciation and I didn't mean that comment to be an attack toward you...I was just trying to lighten the mood and show that you don't have to be a liberal zealot to think that Wal-Mart is bad for the nation... I am trying to keep them from building one near my house right now. (Man that kills property values).

There you go again. You can't get a point across without relying on the low level trash approach.

If the comments in question were not personally directed at you, and they were not, then why become the self appointed public defender and spokesman? No one had anything to do with you showing your ignorance and idiocy. You did that all by yourself.

Offer an apology and the page will be turned. Otherwise, you best think twice what you post here.

'Kay den, DS you still there? Don't know how legit this is, but today my co-worker handed me a April 2006 copy of Du Pont Registry (sp?) and someone there is claiming to be able to sell the Shelby at "only" $3000 above MSRP. Or you can try get some of that AMV lowered if the report of crankshaft failures are true. It might kill some of the hype by lessening interest?

And the only thing I can think of saying to a salesperson dealing out the horsepoo is -"What would you pay for this car if you were buying it?" If the answer includes AMV and so on, it means the person is either lying, an idiot, incredibly wealthy, or a combination two out of the three.

Saved who's "*****" exactly?

Let's forget WWII for just a second, cause everybody knows the U.S. saved Europe's butt and that old argument has been beaten to death. But who saved the U.S.'s **** during the War of Independence? The French, that's who. Wanna talk recent history? How 'bout Vietnam (widely considered a major failure of U.S. foreign policy)...or the fiascos in Central America...or putting Saddam in power (that's right, the U.S. put him in power)...or Iran/Contra - or ANY of the domestic and foreign policy blunders of the present administration (Scooter Libby indictment, leaking Valerie Plame's name, Tom Delay resignation due to corruption, failure to handle Katrina, Dubai Ports deal, wiretapping fiasco...the list goes on and on and on and on...). Checked those poll numbers recently? How does it feel to be in the "minority" now?

Don't ever talk about the U.S. sense of "right and wrong," again, cause it's hypocricy.

As to "saving your *****," you best worry about yourself, my friend, because given your line of work, your geographic location, your lack of enlightenment and your misguided faith in members of the present Executive Branch, you're in for a very rough ride indeed.
