Tracktion Problem Solved
Tracktion Problem Solved
Took the Shelby to the track last month on 7/12/08 @ California Dragway with some brand new M/T ET Street Cheater Slicks....all I can say is WoW! After a few struggles trying to find just the right tire pressure, I was able to get the Shelby to hookup...My best 1/4 run was a 12.33 @114 60ft 1.801.... Launched at around 3500 rpm... My second best was a 12.35 @ 114 60ft 1.819....did manage to have that run on video.

I am very happy with the performance now, with just the few bolt on's and the way the car hooks up with the cheater slicks...its an amazing feeling when the car pins you down to the back of the seat.
Next is the 2.6 pulley swap wich is sitting in my garage and will be installing today.

Those times are great with the few mods you have. I have seen guys posting times a full second or more higher with more mods. Your 60' times show that the tires and more importantly your driving made a huge difference. Way to go!
Thanks...
I ran the Shelby with the same current mods on stock street tires and my best run was a 12.61@ 113 my 60ft times were 2.108. Tire spin was so bad that I actually had to launch with Traction Control System on. The slicks definately made the difference.
