today i saw a 2 week old gt500 run only 13.2 in 1/4
the guy ran 13.5,14.0 then put on slicks and still couldnt break 13... i just shook my head. i said to myself my car ran 13.3 with so few mods... anyway i hope it was just the driver and the car being not broken in.

that guy also went a 12.73 on drag radials, not slicks

Even worse, some guy has gotten a Z06 into the 10's with just a set of drag radials and a little help from nature via 850 feet below see level.
Naturally bowtie fanbois the multiverse over will not include that little fact, but IIRC its was 10.85 @ 129 mph on DRs, still pretty **** fast and a very compelling argument for light weight and big horsepower.
