I picked up my new 2008 GT500 from the dealer this evening. White with blue stripes. It was an awesome ride home from the dealer- the power in this car is amazing.
Pulling away from a dead stop sorta feels like learning to drive a stick shift all over again- you gotta go easy on the gas

I've spent the last few days ordering a ton of GT500 products- I've got some shirts coming, I've got my production certificate ordered from Ford, I've got the Shelby GT500 dash plaque (autographed by Carroll Shelby) ordered, Cobra snake shifter from MGW is on it's way.
It's like an early Xmas for me!

Glad you got it. I have had mine for about a year and a half. I am still amazed at the power. It seems like it is unlimited. Personally, I don't think it needs mods (aside from exhaust. I did the shifter for looks. IT does shift nicer with the triax). The car is fantastic right out of the box.

Congrats on the Cobra. I too remember that drive home. It was the opposite of the drive there where I took my 06 GT to trade in on the GT500. I have done a couple searches but cannot find much information about the production certificate. How did you go about ordering it? I've got the Shelby one on order, but did not know about the Ford cert.
