Navigation Systems for Overseas Customers
Hi all,
A friend of mine has recently bought a nice 2008 Shelby GT500. The vehicle was imported from California, USA.
We tried to operate the navigation system. However, it requests us to insert a DVD (for the maps I guess) as it has USA map software and not our region (Middle East)
Do you guys know if the navigation system installed on the GT500 can be used internationally? and if yes, where can we find that DVD for our region maps?
Assistance is appreciated
Note: our Ford dealer here advised that they don't import Mustangs (GTs & GT500) with navigation systems, so they can't help.

I contacted Navteq and they can't provide software systems for the Mustang. They advised to contact Ford directly.
I contacted Ford Middle East and they advised they don't have the software and advised to change the navigation systems itself
Anyone have heard a solution for overseas customers?

Hi, my name is Javier and I have the same problem. I bought a 2010 Shelby GT500 with the electronic package, but I can't find any maps for Europe and/or Spain, where I am from.
I hace contacted Navteq Europe and they kindly told me that they can't help me.
Have anyone heard of a solution yet?
