Msrp?

Heck, I can't even get one at MSRP from the Ford dealership I work for, and I've been the SVT Director for our store for 6 years now. We're still getting $7K-$8K over MSRP on new GT500's and they sell within 2 days of arrival, so we're still a ways off from MSRP.
That said, I know that some people are finding MSRP deals by looking diligently across the country. So, with enough work, you should be able to find your deal.

Like Brian said, start looking. The MSRP deals are not common enough to have someone offer you one on the internet. You will need to start visiting dealers and making phone calls. I got mine at MSRP in August.

As crazyhorse said, just inquiring online won't get you taken seriously enough with 99.9% of the dealers, especially if you're looking to pay MSRP. Phone calls aren't even the route to go. Visit in person, visit periodically, keep yourself top-of-mind to enough dealers, and you'll get the MSRP deal eventually.

Well, I've made two runs at a GT500 in the last 6 months, trying to buy one for MSRP. The lowest quote I've had is $10K over. This is the most frustrating experience I've ever had trying to buy a new car.
So today I stopped in the Dodge dealer where I bought my Charger. We have an agreement that I can order an '09 SRT8 Challenger with 6-speed when they become available. The price will be MSRP or less. That's the route I'm going to take.

If you love Mustangs, I suggest you wait, as the S197 Mustang will have its facelift coming about the time you would be getting that Challenger!

I've thought of that. There are two cars I've always wanted, a Shelby Mustang and a Challenger. I'll get the Challenger now, and in a year or two I'll sell my '07 Mustang and get a Shelby. I haven't given up, just put it on the back burner. I will have a Shelby someday, even if it's a previously-pampered used one.

Ever since my dealer said they based their ADM's on Ebay I have watched Ebay. But right now GT500's on ebay are going for maybe a few hundred over MSRP but not more than that. Any GT500 with a reserve isnt selling. So where is my dealer with ADM's? Still at $8k. I think at this point dealers are trying to squeeze the ADM's for all they are worth. It will stop when dealers have 07's, 08's and 09's all new and all sitting in the lot with mark ups not selling. There is a dealer I saw with three 2 07's and 1 08, all new, and all with a 7-8k ADM. Sales guy said they had one of the 07's for a year. But the dealership owner won't let it sell for less than 7k over.

I wish i could drive around and see a GT-500 sitting on the showroom floor here where i live. The dealership where i bought mine from sold their 6 allotted '07's months ago. I picked up #4 of their 6 allotted '08's last week. They have 2 left to which i'm pretty sure are already spoken for.
I know of 1 out in the Hamptons (rich man land) and they're asking $60k.

This one was just listed on the DC area Craigslist. Not sure if its real or not but maybe worth the call.

The two dealers closest to me are still asking $20k over! They're on ebay and craigslist also. When I told the sales manager that an identical GT500 (same color combo and options) was on craigslist by another local dealer (a bit further from me) for $18k less, he basically called me a liar. I told him he was only catering to customers with more money than brains, and he said that's just the kind he likes, and he's gonna get his price, by golly! The staff also didn't know the difference between a GT500 and a Shelby GT! Gave me that "deer in the headlights" look when I asked about the latter, and treated me as some kind of "trouble-maker". Oh well, that's one less customer they'll have to worry about.

Surprised? Well, I guess not, considering we are talking about Ford here. But seriously, what other salesperson can expect to succeed in his job by not knowing his own products, and just lying in wait for that "one born every minute"? And be proud of it, no less! Ford needs to seriously reconsider the way they do business, or they may not be doing it long. If not for the F150, they'd already be gone.
