I've lost count how many times I've gone to make a left turn, and ended up turning the wipers on.

I'm not sure how I do it, but I do.
I went out at lunch and tried to make this happen and couldn't. I could "accidentally" trigger the high beams but it takes a distinct and deliberate twisting motion to make the wipers come on. I wonder if your wiper switch is somehow too loose (not enough resistance when turning the wiper portion). That multifunction lever costs less than $50 and can be replaced in about 20 minutes.

If you have a friend with a Mustang, you could see if your wiper switch moves more easily than theirs (or check out a car on the lot at a dealer).

I have no trouble with it either. Maybe because I have had two other Mustangs with the same thing, so I'm used to it?

I got to say I do hate how the seat does not go back to its position when you try to get in the back.

The car is Too Hot. Hmm wait, that didn't come out right. The car GETS too hot... inside the cabin. But I'm over it now. My garage becomes a Sauna sometimes.

Outside seat bottom bolster on the Recaros. Very bad pain in my thigh after a long ride. Foam is completely flat after a 14 months and 28500 miles. It feels like just a piece of metal jabbing me. Going to try to bend it flat eventually.

I have an automatic with the Select Shift, and wish that the car would display on the cluster the gear it is currently in as soon as you move the gear selector to "S" instead of only showing the gear once you up or downshift with the toggle switch. Could have avoided some badly timed downshifts with that feature competing with the cars computer.

I grab one of the rubber bumpstops on the bottom of the trunklid between two fingers and pull downward to close my trunk, but would agree that a plastic handle inside the trunk would be great like my wife's KIA has.

I also agree with a disdain for all the textured plastic and small crevices on the front of the car where 99.9% of all bugs go to die, very difficult to get them and the water out of there during and after washing.

In an attempt to add something new to this list I'll add:

Ride height (Ford could have easily lowered the car an extra inch and it would have made a huge difference)

Lack of 1-touch lane change feature on the turn signal.

Chattering from the transmission or whatever it is when moving at low speed in a parking lot, driveway, etc

And finally the delicacy of the black plastics on the back of the '13/'14 model years. I swear they scratch just by looking at them wrong.

a few.

The stock PROP ROD for our hoods. Got rid of that thing early.

The stock shifter for our MT82's. I'm calling it a non performance mod because there's no way you get any performance out of that thing. lol

The stock ride height springs. Holy 4x4 batman.

The stock exhaust. ugh...I can't imagine driving a mustang with a stock exhaust.

All of this!(except the shifter...I have an auto )

Like, seriously? Prop rod? I know Ford wants to save money but ****! My sisters Kia Optima came with struts. My old 2002 GMC Sierra has struts. The '13 F-150, '03 F-250 and my '79 trans am all have struts, but my $40K Mustang GT had an effing rod. That was the first thing to go on the car haha. It made my car seem cheap.

I couldn't even hear the **** stock exhaust lmao. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the stock springs made the car look like a 4x4 pickup haha.

Edit: Seriously? The word "d.a.m.n" is censored here? Wow.

Ditto on the prop rod and seats (and the stock shifter)...

Just to add something new, it really really really bugs me that the otherwise cool 4.2" screen in the dash isn't capable of soooo many functions that would have been useful.

For example, why not have an option to display your speed in a nice large number on the display? The info is there, because you can access it in test mode (but its displayed in tiny digits). Ditto for having an option to display RPMs.

The ultimate would be to allow the GPS to display a small version of the map on the 4.2" display (Porsche's have this feature, and it is so cool).

That's unfortunate but that's more an issue brought on by using aftermarket parts, not really a design/feature gripe from Ford.
It cleared up on its own anyway. Drink cup door. Cheap as hell. And the aftermarket "covers" look like crap. Why can't they make a full door to replace the existing one. Why????

Wouldn't it be redundant to have the speed and rpm displayed between the actual rpm and speed gauges? I do agree it would be cool for it to have more functionality.

It would be redundant (since there is a speedometer), but the speedo isn't always that easy to read (depending on how one holds the wheel), and it would be a lot easier to check speed on the digital display (plus, you could program the background color of the display to turn red over a certain speed OR you could program it to turn red at a certain shift point).

Oh, and if they could display what gear the manual transmission is in (not sure if that's possible- that is, if there is a sensor for that info in the car), it would be incredibly helpful. Call me an old timer, but keeping track of six gears sometimes leaves me momentarily wondering where in the tree I am!

My frustration comes from the fact that there is so much data the screen could easily display (and it would cost virtually nothing for Ford to have programmed the display to show this information). It just seems like the screen is a vastly underutilized feature.

If there's any consolation, the display in our F150 is even less useful. Other than the cool "Built Tough" loop upon start-up, there isn't a lot there.

You can buy a shift **** that displays the current gear on a manual transmission. It's not cheap and personally I think it looks a little cheesy but it is functional. It works on almost any car because it uses a sensor mounted under the console to determine the position of the shift lever rather than connecting to anything in the transmission.

LOL, it's not that big! I think if I was taller it would be less of an issue. That way the biggest part of the rest would be in my neck region as opposed to right on the back of my head

I've never had a problem with the headrests in any other vehicle before

The tach will turn red when you redline it. I'm not sure why you'd want it to turn red earlier though. Not bashing, but I don't understand the need for the speed to be displayed right next to the speedometer or for a reminder of your gear. Maybe I'm not old enough...

But, you're correct that those would be minimal cost to add. And I could see it being more useful than, say, speakers that replicate engine noise like the new BMWs have.

I'm more upset by the gauges that don't actually tell you anything (voltage, oil pressure), but then again 2011 doesn't have the nifty lcd screen.

I'm suggesting you could have the screen function like a programmable shift indicator light (which is a pretty popular feature on tachs).

Personally, I do not find the speedo all that convenient. Yep, its huge- but where its placed is blocked by the wheel/my hand when I'm driving. It would be tons easier just to glance down and see a big number on the 4.2" screen that is currently just sitting there with a Pony running across it.

I'm aware of the gear shifter with the indicator. I agree- it looks cheesy, is too expensive, and I'm not bothered enough to want to install a new **** (plus I like the Ford Racing white **** I installed with their short throw shifter too much).

Speed and tach on the screen isn't a necessity, but the data is there- so I can't fathom why Ford didn't just program the ability into the system. Reading through threads, there's plenty of people who would at least like the option to have speed indicated on the screen (which the system can already do- in test mode).
