Winter tire shopping Bridgestone or Continental

Bridgestone Blizzaks WS-90 or Continental Viking Contact 7

Gearing towards Viking since it's on cheaper side with good reviews.

Thoughts?

thoughts: I think any true winter/snow tire is going to be way better than any all season tire in the snow, and I don't think the exact brand/model makes a whole lot of difference.

I don't think there is any such thing as a "performance" snow tire; you'll need to go fairly easy regardless of which make/model tire you buy.

Probably more important than the exact make/model of tire:
> width: you want the narrowest width that will fit correctly on your wheels
> sidewall height and overall diameter: you want a high aspect ratio and high sidewall; overall tire diameter can be a little bigger than your original tires (assuming the car is not extremely lowered)
