Why Steeda Cold Air Intakes Blow Away The 'Competition'
Tune on car= good luck getting any engine/tranny repairs done. End of story. I work on them at a dealer and I see it all the time. Now I'm not saying the tunes are bad. Mine is custom tuned. but Ford doesn't like them and will do anything to void a tuned vehicles warranty. End of story.
At the end of the day it all depends on the relationship with your dealer in regards to any mods. They have the power to help or hurt you. I was told by a dealer in Florida that they would not replace my spotted headlights due to my STEEDA Tri-Ax.... Needless to say, found another "mod" friendly dealer. They got a good bit of my money as well on future purchases...

However, Ford press releases made a big deal about the 08 Bullitt being the "first" to utilize the "new" 'adaptive spark ignition system' where an owner could switch between 87 and 91 octane at will. Neither the 08 or 09 GT had it, it was exclusive to Bullitt. Only the '10 GT got it (for the 4.6. I believe it is now standard for the 5.0).
Of course you would know, but to me it sounds like more than just knock sensors. Didn't the 4.6 3V have knock sensors for 05-07 GT before Bullitt?
If the adaptive spark ignition system was just knock sensors that the previous year GT's already had, that would make Ford press releases bogus.

because that couldn't possible be true.
Oh it was true, Brandon Ford in Tampa Florida was in a bad patch from 2001 to 2003. During a scheduled oil change, the tech accused me of lowering the car, when the Bullitt's came lowered from Ford... Sad because they where a Roush dealer and would have Jack Roush in town twice a year.
I have a question. With a CAI/tune, of I go to the dealer for let's just say a "tick" and I want it looked at. Is it possible they pop the hood and say, sorry CAI/tune, your denied.
Or is it more a denial of warranty when it's a major issue?!!?

sometimes I think I'm missing stuff on the app. And sometimes I'm glad that I am missing them.
