lol its not really intrusive. If your seat is in the right position you wont even notice it (like most probably haven't noticed until reading this thread )

I've got one in my 04, I actually like it being there, it gives a solid feel to the pedal.

Same here. I test drove a 2010 GT and a 2011 5.0 and never noticed it.
