I've seen My Dad tell the Dealer to give him back his money over just such an incident on an 87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. They were told repeatedly, Do Not put any holes in the bumper for a License plate or Put the Bracket on the car, and Do Not put one of their stupid (Dealer Name Here) Stickers or Badges on the car. They did both. My dad Demanded his Money back, and they tried everything to make him accept the car and said they would fix it. He told them if they would have listened the first time, they wouldn't have to fix it and he wasn't buying a New Car that they were going to have to Fix and Repaint the Front bumper on. They finally refunded his Deposit.

I Hate Front Plates Too! I would never drill a hole in my front bumper for one. I actually designed a Front Bracket for the 05 when they came out so you wouldn't have to drill into the face of the Bumper but could attach it from under the front edge of the bumper so when the plate was removed, the holes would be out of sight under the edge of the bumper.

It's funny you must have planted the thought in my head, cause I've actually started looking for a 67, 6 cylinder fastback recently for a daily driver. I'd love to find a Brittney Blue with Deluxe 2 tone blue interior and AC. I'm not looking for a show winner or anything, just something I can drive and enjoy, and take to local shows just for fun.
