If I got a 1 inch spaer would I need to grind off some of the original studs to get the wheels on?

I put wheel spacers on my 07 gt to give a more aggressive stance. 1" on front and
1.25" in rear. The front wheel studs did need to be shortened the rears I had no issues

I would never run spacers of any kind on a car I planned to drive aggressively. Buy the right wheels to get the look you want.

Exactly. Not to mention the increased wear on the axle/bearings/drivetrain/etc.

bad idea. Do it right w/ new tires/wheels. You'll be happier in the long run.

To be fair, lower offset wheels put the same strain on the axle and bearings. Regardless, I want my wheels to sit on the hub and bolt to the rotor, not a piece of milled aluminum.

this. I've run spacers on lots of cars for years with no issues.

has anyone seen 10mm spacers with studs attached? The smallest I can find with studs is 15mm.

Ditto, a good quality hub centric spacer is just fine and in some cases the only way to get the most tire under the car possible without rubbing.

I think 10mm may be too small to safely mount studs. The "spacers" that bolt to the car with their own studs are actually adaptors, originally used to allow people to both lower offset and change bolt pattern. I take extra issue with those.

Adaptor

with a 10mm spacer I will have to change the factory studs to the FRPP ones so they are longer, right? throwing that 10mm spacer on the factory wheel hub and studs won't give me enough lug thread?

Yes. Get ARPs and cut them down once you figure out how much of them you need.
