I pull it in the garage and sit and listen to the end of a good song or if a good song has started listen to it and just look at the dash lights and relax. And then get out and like 2010mustang gt says use the key hole with my thumb to close the door cause i hate finger prints too. I wash with micro glove and Meguires Ultimate Wash and Wax. It is washed and vacuumed every 4 days and spray detail with Meguires NXT. Why? Cause it cost too much to not take care of it and i hate to drive a dirty car.

Shes my DD but when i pull into the garage, i turn her off, pop the hood to let the texas summer heat out. Then i close the garage halfway, give her a onceover with a lil mix of aquanil-x and water (1oz aquanil per 6oz water) and a clean cobra micro, use it on the windows too. Take some meguiars interior wipes and wipe down evrythin inside. Then clean off the rims with a lil multi clean and tire dressing.
Shes my first car and shes also black so im very **** bout keepin her clean. I even use the weatherstrip as a place to hold when i close the door. I even carry my derail stuff evrywhere i go incase somethin happens.

My car is a daily driver when I am home but it is always garaged overnight. I do try to avoid using it in the rain but the car is so addictive it generally gets used if there is a slight drizzle. Snow is a no no. Normally it goes in the garage ‘as is’ but always left out of gear, locked but with handbrake off.

On the last night at home (I work 28/28) it is always cleaned and dried ready for the next use – generally 4-5 weeks hence. I always ensure Shaker and lights are off, GPS and radar detector are disconnected.

The garage is just long and wide enough for the car (typical UK minimal size) so its always pushed in for the last 3 inches or so – the end wall is covered in rubber and bubble wrap, as are the places where the door opens.

The car always starts on first turn of the key even after being left for several weeks.

I am always amazed at how dusty the car is on my return.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I think I need to pick up some Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer.

I recommend the quick wax instead of detailer. Less streaking on dark cars.

i turn the car off and walk into the house

But then again, my car is white. Quick California duster takes most of the crap off.

Open garage, drive in, turn off, place in 1st, brake on, exit, lock, close garage, enter house. If it's dirty or dusty - oh well it will get cleaned maybe tomorrow if the weathers OK or I have time. It's an every day driver not an exotic so nothing special when it comes to after driving it.

pull in garage, turn car off, put in gear, open hood to let cool off, whip brake dust off wheels ( OCD ), say **** she looks good, and go inside.

If its my last day off Ill do a thorough wash and park in the garage and get ready for my 6 day work week.

Wow, my hat's off to some of you guys! Way more work than I'd give anything less than a Duesenberg, or something! Mine stays in the driveway, since there are too many bicycles/too much crap in our 2-car garage for it to fit. It gets washed every couple of weeks or so, and waxed every few months. The interior gets cleaned occasionally, although it doesn't get very dirty- I'm almost always the only one in the car, and don't eat or drink in it. My biggest thing is gas receipts, etc. get tossed onto the passenger floor until it looks bad.

I put it up on jack stands to start on the day's mods. Then I remember I'm not doing that with this car and put it back down and go inside.
