Weird climate control display issue.

I had my windshield defrost on and I pressed it and it lit up the center display of the seat with 2 bars next to it lit up and I then pressed the bottom left climate control on/off button to shut it off. And about a second or two later the blower kicks on and starts running on high and I look down and on the display I see two things I hadn't seen before ever lit up.

On the top left of the radio/climate control display it should bars, like cell strength bars or fan speed bars and there were like 5 that were small to larger. And on the top right hand side above Ext Temp it displayed 88. They were like that for a second then disappeared.

I tried to replicate it but couldn't then was wondering if my display hasn't been displaying stuff since I got the car and it just blipped and I saw it.

I have never seen anything representing fan speed, so I thought maybe that is what those bars are.

I went through the manual multiple times and couldn't find anything that breaks down what can be displayed on the climate/radio display.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chris

Hey Grifftech,

I hope this was what 2012 grabber blue gt mentioned. If not, please make an appointment with your dealer and let me know if you need me.

Everything seems ok now.. I am more worried about getting the darn transmission whine fixed!!!! I keep getting told by the dealer that it is being looked into by Ford and the FSE he spoke with said they are workign on a kit to fix the issue. I sure hope this is the case, cause the car is just annoying to drive.... I actually contemplated for a moment going and trading it in for a Camaro.. the horror!!

Mine did that once thought maybe because it was hot that night I didn't have a/c on. I had thought maybe it turned itself on to cool radio off.

I understand. Let me know if you want me to reopen your case and have that documented in there as well.

Heres a photo everyone of what it looks like. Grabber blue is right, it is a self test. But if the spots are there for the fan speed and other temps, then should there not be a way to always display the fan speed there??
