Is the production line open or closed on the weekends?

Closed. Last I heard, AAI was going to go down to one shift.

I think Shaun said they work 4 days a week. Was 2 shifts. Not sure about going to 1 shift. That'll slow things down! Or maybe the parking lot at AAI is so full they don't have anywhere else to put them.

So much for the American economic advantage of working harder and longer. Next stop: Greece, baby.

Don't you work for the gummint? (Yes, contracting counts.)

They're not lazy. They're pacing themselves to retirement.

THEY'RE NOT SHIPPING THEM EITHER!

They can't sell 'em if they can't ship 'em and they can't sell 'em at the dealer lots if they don't have 'em.

DELIVER THE CARS ALREADY!

Sorry about the CAPS. You started it.

Stinger said Ford said it cut down on overhead costs. I assume from starting up and shutting down 5 times a week. I expect they probably work 10 hours a day, 4 days a week, and they operate two shifts until about July 12th. Line speed is being quickened. Google! It comes up with a bunch of articles, this is one of them.

http://www.monroenews.com/apps/pbcs....WS01/702169997

Summary is that they lose a shift, a good amount of workers, and line speed is quickened by 37%. Notably, the primary offender appears to be the Mazda6 sales, not so much the Mustang, at least according to this article, so hopefully Mustang production not hurt so bad.
